Our History

When John Forsyth started making shirts in the small town of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada in 1903, he created a tradition of quality and craftsmanship marked by his personal guarantee. After nearly 100 years, Forsyth is still Canada’s premier heritage fine shirt maker.

At Forsyth, we still remain faithful to the time honoured practices that go into making shirts of unparalleled quality and caring workmanship.

Each and every Forsyth shirt is made from the finest materials, from fabric and linings, to findings and buttons. Our experienced pattern makers oversee all steps of the Master Pattern and Grading Process, ensuring the creation of a perfectly matched and balanced garment.

We augment the skills of traditional tailoring with today’s most advanced shirtmaking technology. And all Forsyth of Canada Shirts are meticulously inspected; a minimum of 15 checkpoints on every garment guarantee a perfect final product. We hope you enjoy the unsurpassed comfort and superior tailoring of your Forsyth of Canada Shirt.
